Betaine contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.

What is betaine?

Betaine, also known as trimethylglycine (TMG), is a naturally occurring substance produced by the body and also found in many foods – including spinach, beets, and whole grains. The name trimethylglycine directly describes its molecular structure: three methyl groups bonded to a glycine molecule. It is precisely this structure that makes betaine a Methyl donor – it is able to transfer a methyl group to other molecules in the body and thus participate in important biochemical processes.

Dietary supplement Betaine Trimethylglycine (TMG)

Betaine contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 1,500 mg of betaine. The recommended daily intake of 2,250 mg or 2,500 mg must not be exceeded.

A notice: Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or under medical supervision, consult a doctor before taking this product. If side effects occur, discontinue use and contact a doctor immediately. Keep out of reach of children.

Homocysteine metabolism

Betaine supports homocysteine metabolism

In the body, betaine transfers a methyl group to homocysteine, converting it into the amino acid methionine – a process that primarily occurs in the liver. In this way, betaine is a natural component of homocysteine metabolism.

The beneficial effects occur with a daily intake of 1.5 g of betaine. Caution: A daily intake of more than 4 g of betaine can significantly increase blood cholesterol levels.

Manufacturing process

Derived from sugar

Betaine is extracted from sugar beets – a proven and sustainable source of this active ingredient. The final product is anhydrous, crystalline, resulting in a stable compound with good bioavailability. It is manufactured without the use of synthetic solvents or additives – the powder contains only pure betaine trimethylglycine.

  • 100% vegan, GMO-free, independently tested in German laboratories
  • Stable for long-term storage
Powder or Capsules?

Two dosage forms – one active ingredient

Powder – flexible and economical
The betaine powder contains only betaine from a natural source, free from additives. A daily portion of 2500 mg corresponds to three measuring spoons size L. The powder dissolves easily in water, juice, or smoothies.

A 150 g container lasts about 2 months and allows for flexible, individually adjustable dosing.

Capsules – pre-dosed application
Our betaine capsules contain 750 mg betaine per capsule, also free from additives. The recommended intake: three capsules daily with plenty of water – time-flexible and independent of meals.

This variant is ideal for anyone who prefers a flavor-neutral, easy-to-dose solution or is frequently on the go.

Both variants are vegan, sugar-free, and lab-tested. This allows you to choose the right format according to your daily routine and preference – with the same active ingredient amount and high product quality.
